We are thrilled to announce that Aman Sungar, a member of Swimmers’ Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a place in the prestigious Karnataka swimming team for the upcoming KHELO India Youth Games 2023. The games are scheduled to take place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 8th to 11th February 2023.

Aman’s extraordinary performance in the 200-meter Backstroke event during the recently concluded South Zone National Swimming Championship left spectators in awe. Not only did he excel in the competition, but he also broke a long-standing national meet record that had remained untouched for eleven years. This outstanding achievement has paved the way for Aman to earn his well-deserved selection for the KHELO India Youth Games 2023.

Aman’s relentless training and dedication can be attributed to the invaluable guidance provided by his esteemed coaches at the Suvarna Jnmc swimming pool, an Olympic-sized facility. Under the watchful eyes of coaches Akshay Sheregar, Ajinkya Mendke, Nitish Kuduchkar, and Govardhan Kakatkar, Aman has honed his skills and reached new heights in the sport of swimming.

The accomplishment of Aman has received accolades and appreciation from notable personalities.
